UN Secretary-General: Every Woman Every Child is both a global and local movement

At a May 7th “Taking Action” Summit, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon spoke about his own commitment to improving women’s and children’s health, and emphasized the importance of private sector leaders who understand the importance of corporate social responsibility and giving back – and who believe in taking action. “Every Woman Every Child…is a pioneering example of a new way of tackling common global challenges,” he said. “I believe passionately in this effort because of all that I have seen around the world and in my own life.” Read the full remarks.
