UN Launches Commission on Life-Saving Commodities for Women and Children

As part of the Every Woman Every Child movement and efforts to meet the health-related Millennium Development Goals, the Commission will champion efforts to increase access to life-saving medicines and health supplies for the world’s most vulnerable people. Led by Co-Chairs President Goodluck Jonathan and Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, and Vice-Chairs Anthony Lake and UNFPA Executive and Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin, Commissioners will advocate at the highest levels to catalyze change.
