New Perspectives and New Paths

The updated global strategy must address these issues in order to for our solutions to remain sustainable. The new development agenda must protect reproductive, women, children and adolescent health rights. These are not luxuries or ideologies. Human rights must be centered in the Global Strategy on women, children and adolescent health. The humanitarian context must be addressed in the Global Financing Facility. And innovations must be scaled up to address the not only humanitarian logistics but also to innovate our cross-sectoral work to truly address the social, environmental and political determinants of health.  The health community knows that only by addressing the social, political and environmental determinants will we be able to reach our health targets set out by the SDGs.
