Gynius Plus AB
In Support of the Every Woman Every Child Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescent’s Health (2016-2030), Gynius Plus AB commits to improving global access to women aged 30-49 to cervical cancer screening in order to eliminate the disease by 2030.
Gynius Plus AB has developed a portable, battery-driven and clinically validated colposcope, The Gynocular, which allows healthcare professionals to screen and diagnose women for cervical cancer in one visit, with one brief procedure. In addition to this, Gynius Plus AB offer a mobile phone and desktop-based software system that allows remote analysis of the digital records of patients by experienced gynecologist, using Telemedicine resources; thereby overcoming the lack of onsite specialized supervision.
In addition to the above, over the next decade, in order to enable the lives of women and their families to thrive, Gynius Plus AB commits to working with stakeholders to:
- Provide early diagnosis and timely treatment of pre-cancerous lesions;
- Offer affordable, accessible and effective cervical cancer programs;
- Roll-out large-scale colposcopy-centric screening programs, funded by national health care authorities and international NGOs; and
- Facilitate the training of healthcare providers, including non-specialized Gynaecologists or GPs, so that cervical cancer screening can be increased across wider geographical areas.
