On World Toilet Day, Unilever launches toilet academy in Viet Nam to improve access to basic sanitation

Poor sanitation in developing countries is one of the biggest causes of death from preventable illnesses such as diarrhoea, but with proper access to clean toilet facilities, cases of diarrhoea are reduced by almost a third. In recognition of these realities, Unilever is laucnhing a toilet academy with the World Toilet Organisation in Viet Nam to provide business skills and training for local entrepreneurs to source and supply latrines to their local communities – boosting local economies and access to basic sanitation.
