At UN’s Rio+20 conference, global leaders declare “energy is a woman’s issue”

As world leaders gathered at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, or “Rio+20”, in Rio de Janeiro, Michelle Bachelet, Margaret Chan, and Kandeh Yumkella had one message: gender equality must be central in discussions and partnerships to achieve sustainable energy for all by 2030.
