16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence
25 November-10 December 2017
Gender-based violence (GBV) affects millions of people each year globally and has direct and indirect costs to families, communities, economies, global public health and development. GBV includes the use or threat of physical, psychological, sexual, economic, legal, political, social and other forms of control and/or abuse. These 16 Days focus on eradicating GBV as well as highlight 16 key facts on intimate partner and sexual violence against women.
As one of the official colors of the UNiTE campaign symbolizing a brighter future and a world free from violence against women and girls, the color orange was once again a uniting theme throughout all events.
