Blue Marble Microinsurance
The Blue Marble venture team commits to support a proposal of establishing a two year pilot between November 2016 to November 2018, using a weather index insurance solution that will insure smallholder maize farmers against seasonal drought in Zimbabwe.
The Body Shop commits over $2.25 million for their initiative, ‘Stop the Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People’, developed in partnership with ECPAT International, and launched in 60 countries. The Body Shop will launch in December 2010 the first of 3 annual campaigns in partnership with UNAIDS.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation
The Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation launched the Secure the Future (STF) campaign in 1999 to address the HIV epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa. A major element of this launch was the development of a network of Children's Clinical Centers, which now see over 97,000 parents and children. The BSG Foundation commits to developing new centers and expanding their Technical Assistance Program, a five year, US $2 million commitment.
