In UN Secretary-General’s remarks to the UN General Assembly emphasize five areas for collective action

On January 22, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon addressed the General Assembly and members of the media on priorities for 2013, announcing a special event on the MDGs in September to “assess progress and discuss the contours of an ambitious, practical and coherent post-2015 development framework” and pledging to “continue to explore” where to apply the unprecedented partnership model exemplified by the Every Woman Every Child movement.
